Timeline: 2 weeks
Overview:
My team of four designed and manufactured the above robot to carry an aluminum payload (approximately 1 kg) up a twelve foot I-beam that is angled against a wall as fast as possible. The robot assembly includes parts from two Tamiya 72001 Planetary Gearbox kits and 3D-printed parts. The custom parts were designed using force equilibrium and failure mode analyses to ensure it would adhere and remain on the beam and travel upwards.
